A meaningful milestone trip—with a different perspective
Why This Trip Matters:
This was our daughter’s last high school spring break before heading off to college in the fall, making it an especially meaningful trip for our family.
What Made It Special:

My Experience:
This trip felt different—not just because of changes at the resort, but because of where we are as a family. It was a chance to really appreciate the time together before everything shifts.
While the property itself is still beautiful, the overall experience felt different from previous visits. Changes under new ownership impacted the flow, including the removal of dinner reservations, which made evenings feel less organized.
Resort Update:
The resort was significantly impacted by a hurricane in October 2025 and is currently closed. It is expected to reopen in early 2027. I’m looking forward to seeing how it’s updated and hopeful that operational improvements are made.
