Sandals Royal Caribbean, Montego Bay, Jamaica
August 2025
Our first empty-nest getaway
Why This Trip Matters:
This was our first trip as empty nesters—marking a new chapter and a completely different way of traveling for us.
What Made It Special:
- A slower, more relaxed pace
- Time to reconnect and enjoy being just the two of us again
- A unique private island experience
My Experience:
This trip felt different in the best way. Without the structure of family travel, we were able to fully relax and enjoy the moment.
Sandals Royal Caribbean truly surprised me—the service was next to none, and the overall experience felt effortless. The private island added something really special, giving us another space to unwind and enjoy throughout the stay.
Resort Update:
The resort was severely impacted by a hurricane in October 2025 and is currently closed. It’s expected to reopen in December 2026 with a full renovation and an upgraded “2.0” feel.
Why It Matters for My Clients:
This trip is a great example of how travel evolves with life stages. Whether you’re entering your empty-nest phase or celebrating a special milestone, I help match you to the right experience—and keep you informed on when a resort is worth visiting or waiting for after renovations.
