Thanksgiving in Jamaica—with a different perspective on luxury
Why This Trip Matters:
We spent Thanksgiving here with the kids, which made it a special family holiday—but it also gave me insight into how different “luxury” resorts can feel.
What Made It Unique:
- A quieter, more laid-back resort atmosphere
- Spacious, condo-style accommodations
- A different experience compared to other resorts we’ve visited
My Experience:
While the resort offered beautiful accommodations, the overall experience felt a bit disconnected. The flow of the resort and overall atmosphere didn’t quite come together for us, and the beach wasn’t our favorite compared to other areas in Jamaica.
Why It Matters for My Clients:
This is why I’m very intentional with my recommendations. “Luxury” can mean different things depending on the resort—and not every property is the right fit for every traveler.
